What’s Next : Oil Price Hike Again?

The Cabinet will discuss the impact and counter measure for Soaring oil prices to Malaysian on next Wednesday.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Said:
“We will look into several measures that we can take, perhaps a look into road tax or toll charges. I am certainly hoping the NCCIM(National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia) can give suggestions. I do not want to say what the proposals are until the Cabinet discusses them,”
One of the proposal is - The Government would look into introducing biodiesel faster so that it may be used by all public transportation vehicles.

The last hike in fuel prices was on July 31st, when the cost of petrol at the pump went up by 10 sen a litre and diesel by 20 sen a litre.
