Sime Darby May Buy Stakes in Proton

News reported that Sime Darby may planning to buy 32% of stakes in Proton from Khazanah Nasional Bhd. An unnamed sources as saying that Sime will pay for the stake either in cash, new shares, or a combination of both. Khazanah currently holds 42.7% stakes in Proton. Sime Darby had said to be plan in collaboration with Volkswagen or Hyundai. However the details was unknown. Read for more detail.
