Proton and EON deny to acquire stake in EON

Proton Holdings Berhad (PROTON) and Edaran Otomobil Nasional Bhd (EON) denied that neither board of directors of both groups and their major shareholders have any knowledge of Proton wanted to acquire a stake in EON.
The statements were made in response to an article published in The Star on Saturday reported that Proton Holdings Bhd may consider the acquisition of DRB-HICOM Bhd’s 29.3% stake in vehicle distributor Edaran Otomobil Nasional Bhd (EON).
