Good News to all Myvi customers (or plan to buy one in the future) :
Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) says there will be no price increase for Perodua cars until the year end despite the announcement of the National Automotive Policy Framework (NAP), its managing director Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar said.
“We don’t see the price going up in the near future until this December as Perodua still has at least two months’ stock,” he told reporters at a Buka Puasa organised by Perodua for 80 poor children.
However, for next year the company will have to conduct a study before determining the cost structure of its car, he said…. News from Bernama
Meanwhile the government’s move to announce the framework ahead of the announcement of the NAP, which would be in one to three months.
We guess no matter what new policy or measure the goverment going to take, the new framework wouldn’t runaway from the principle of protecting Proton and other national cars. So the price or other imported cars will not likely to drop.
We will re-arrange some comments and views from other press and make a summary for you as a reference.
