At the incoming Geneva Motor Show Porsche will display its new model, the all new 911 Turbo.
The new 911 is able to produce 480 hp at 6,000 rpm, which is 60hp more than the previous model. The torque also increased from 560 Nm to 620 Nm. The 3.6 litre boxer engine features a variable geometry turbine ( The very first time used in a petrol engine) and an “overboost” function that enables to increases boost pressure in the mid-speed range by 0.2 bar for up to ten seconds.

The new 911 Turbo is able to accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 12.8 seconds. The top speed of this car is 310 km/h. The average fuel consumption also has been reduced to 22.1mpg.
If equipped with optional Tiptronic S automatic transmission, the 911 Turbo is more aggresive: the 0-100 km/h and 0-200 km/h will take 0.2 and 0.6 seconds less.

Skoda will show its Roomster concept, a boxy family car at the incoming Geneva Motor Show.
The new Roomster is based on the previous Roomster Concept, unveiled by Skoda at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2003.

The Roomster concept features a variable interior and a young, fresh design. As usual with other Skoda products, the Roomster comes with excellent value for money, a spacious luggage place and loads of storage space, A.K.A Skoda’s “extra bit of car”. The Roomster also featuring the new Varioflex rear seat design that offers an easy method of rearranging the passenger and carrying space to meet the ways that people use cars today.(Source: Skoda)

Opel will display a new streamlined two seater roadster, the Opel GT at the incoming Geneva Motor Show.
The Opel GT have a sharply cut lines that combine some features of the Opel Speedster with the newest Opel styling cues. The design was inspired by the Vauxhall Lightning concept, created by the GM Advanced Design Studio in Birmingham, UK in 2003 for the 100th anniversary of the Vauxhall brand.

The Opel GT will be powered by a 2.0-liter ECOTEC turbo engine, that will enable the GT to boosts 260hp and reach a top speed of over 230 km/h. It will be built in Wilmington/Delaware, in the USA, together with its ‘’sisters”, the Pontiac Solstice and the Saturn Sky.

Volkswagen will show its new concept, the Concept-A at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show.

The Volkswagen Concept A is a crossover between a coupe and a compact SUV. The features includes opposing opening wind doors, 20 inches wheels and 4 Motion all-drive system with Volkswagen DSG transmission.

At the 2006 Geneva Motor Show Renault Company will display its latest concept, the Altica.


The Renault Altica Concept, an original three-doors vehicle that combines a wagon-like design with a flexible interior and innovative features.

The Renault Altica features a dynamic look, the long bonnet, the curved forms, the 21 inches large wheels and the minimal overhangs, the accented and sharp waist line, scissors doors opening system and large dimensions to make accessibility easier.

Lotus company will display its APX crossover concept at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The name APX stands for “Aluminium Performance Crossover “. It is the first example of a complete vehicle built on the innovative Versatile Vehicle Architecture (VVA) . This car will probably launch at 2008.


The Lotus APX is an aluminum-bodied 4WD crossover with 5+2 seating, which means the third row of seats is described as “occasional.”


Powered by a Lotus designed supercharged front-mounted 3.0-liter DOHC V6 engine, it can be able to produces 300 horsepower and makes the car able do from zero to 100km/h in 5 seconds. It is faster than the new Lotus Europa S coupe, which will also be at Geneva.

Prior to Geneva Motor Show which begin next week, Lotus has released more detail about their new baby - Lotus Europa S.

It has a different engine: the GM-sourced 2.0-litre Ecotec unit, turbocharged for 200bhp which develops maximum torque t just 2,000rpm.


While it looks much similar to Elise and Exige, Lotus promise this version will bring more comfort as its build with larger boot and easier cabin access.

17″ alloy wheels, with bespoke Bridgestone Potenza tyres: 175/35 R17s up front and super-wide 225/45 R17s to the rear.
