Have a ride with the London Taxi!

December 29th, 2005 at 12:20am pep boyz Category : Auto News, Malaysia

When first time I saw this, I was wondering, what kind of car is this? After asking around, I only know that, they called it the London Taxi. Is it an Austin? MG Rover or what? But this is not important. The important thing is that, this is not an ordinary taxi. It is actually a demonstration car, owned by Clarion audio company. Its been custom built by Loh Thong Ming Car Accessories (somewhere in Seremban). Here are some of the detail of this taxi.

The exterior looks cute and huge…

Pixma. The new generation of Canon bubble jet printer.

Can you spot the difference between this two front doors? It was different because one is the driver side, and the other side was not designed to accomodate a passenger but the Clarion audio set.

This is the back door. Red light indicates doors are locked.

The amplifiers looks special…

It can only carry a driver in front. I like those speakers…

When you start or turn off the engine, these L.E.D’s will illuminate. It will strobe when you activate the sound system. The 2 lights on side is the hidden capacitor.

Canon Pixma Photo Printer fixed behind the taxi.

Plasma TV rules!!!

The switch controller.

Toilet paper holder!?

Nice airbrush graphics…

The voltmeter fixed in front.

Double alternators. This is because 2 alternators will provide more charging when activate the sound system. They even use the DIN100 MF battery.

The reverse camera. They fix this because the driver can’t see behind.

Proton Sell MV Agusta for euro 1

December 27th, 2005 at 01:57pm tiger Category : Auto News, Malaysia

mv agustsa align=Malaysia’s national carmaker Proton Holdings Bhd. said Tuesday it is selling its controlling stake in debt-ridden Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta SPA for a nominal euro1 (US$1.19) in cash.

Proton said it paid euro70 million (US$59.32 million) for its 57.8 percent stake in Agusta in 2004, adding that the sale of the stake was “consistent with Proton’s direction of divesting noncore assets.”

Proton blamed provisions for Agusta’s debts with banks and suppliers as one of the reasons it suffered a net loss of 154.3 million ringgit (US$40.8 million; euro34.8 million) in the three months ended Sept. 30.

The carmaker has come under pressure to return to profitability after its domestic market share dwindled to around 30 percent in June from 44 percent last year, as the government is slowly lifting protective tariffs on foreign-made cars due to a regional free trade agreement. -

Trading of Proton shares was suspended on Dec 27.
Let Calculate The Loss
Buying price= euro 70million
Selling price= euro 1.19
Total loss= Selling Price-Buying Price= 70Euro million-1=69.999 Euro

2006 Nissan Bluebird Sylphy

December 24th, 2005 at 11:16pm pep boyz Category : Auto News, International

Nissan company has launched the new Bluebird Sylphy, a mid-sized luxury sedan aimed at today’s executive woman, focusing on hospitality and care in
mind. The most arresting feature of the new Bluebird Sylphy is the Nissan’s sophisticated S-motion design theme. The elegant S of the dash board serves both the driver with functionality and the front passenger with openness.

The word ’sylphy’ was derived from the sylph, a slim or graceful beauty. Combining this image of clean, natural quality with the confidence and reliability of its venerable Bluebird brand, its name states the car’s fundamental qualities: Bluebird Sylphy.

I like its lamp…

The interior.

Nice line. I wonder who designed this car?

Comfortable seats…

There are still got more details in this car. More detail on nissan.co.jp.

The last word: When Tan Chong Motor will bring this car into Malaysia?
