Price Hike For Several Car Model

According to NST, prices for several car models will be increase under the PGE (Profit and General Expenses Charges). Affected car models are those which said to be under-declared by importers. It showed that car such as The KIA Picanto now sells for RM54,409, the KIA Sportage RM133,351, the Chevrolet Aveo RM72,388 and the Optra 1.6 RM91,411.50. The PGE is set at 30 per cent for cars below 1600cc and 38 per cent for cars above 1600cc.

Another chinese daily told that, for those who already booked their car earlier on (and the new car has not arrived yet) can have their deposit refund if they do not agree with the new price tariff.

Looks like we, Malaysia consumer has back to the time where we only have few choices of model under tight budget.

Don’t Try This With The Authority!

Feel rather funny while reading this news from AP: A man intended to pay his fine (for speeding ticket) with 12,000 pennies (which is equals to $120) in the purpose to show his revengeful feeling to the authority. However, the court judges has make him wait until they have counted on the total given by him.
