Start from today (31st July 2005), petrol price will be up 10 sen from RM1.52 to RM1.62 per litre and diesel too will be up 20 sen from RM1.081 to RM1.281 per litre. This is the third time fuel prices increase in year 2005.
Seeing the trend of increasing fuel price, no wonder cars with smaller capacity are selling good. Not only they are affordable in terms of purchase price, but also economically sound when maintaining it and fill it’s “thirst” for fuel.
Wondering what if all cars on the road now are not using petrol but some other sources like solar energy, electric generated energy and etc.? Perhaps then we’ll not depend on fuel so much and feeding our beloved car with expensive energy. Wonder when hybrid car will be introduce and mass-produce in Malaysia… That way, we could have opt for this alternative to curb the oil rises problem.
Guess for the time being, we have to bear with the continuous increasing of fuel prices as goverment has stated they will not remove the subsidy neither they will bear the fuel price by increasing the subsidy.

As the volume of production increases substantially, its price can approach that of a quality automobile ($60,000-$80,000).
Some Quote from the The International Moller.com The Skycar M400 Inventor..
Dr. Dennis Bushnell–Chief Scientist, NASA Langley Research Center
“The volantor (Skycar) will do for car-based society what the car did for horse-based society. It is the right solution at the right time. He goes on to add, “It is not a question of if but when the market for Moller vehicles will be about $1 trillion a year.
Bruce Holmes—Manager, General Aviation Office, NASA Langley Research Center
“Once we have the infrastructure then Moller’s Skycar has a place to grow into. Such a system is on the way. Various organizations including NASA, the FAA, the Department of Transportation, individual states and aviation industry groups are developing a small aircraft transportation system.â€?

Every Successful man make his dream come true!!
About Moller:
Moller International was founded in 1983 by Dr Paul Moller, a Canadian-born US engineer, to design, develop, manufacture and market personal vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (VTOL). His colleagues said it couldn’t be done, but like many geniuses, Dr Moller worked tirelessly towards his dream: a personal flying car that could take off from any back garden of street and be as easy to fly as a car is to drive, if not easier.
“Paul Moller has spent 40 years and $50 million building the L.A. commuter’s dream car.”
And his passion finally paid off. He invented his dream car and name is as Moller M400 Skycar.
And what is your dream, and what is your passion for life ??

Think you guy seen this before…
Is a Michelin airless, integrated tyre and wheel combination dubbed the TWEEL (i.e. Tyre/WhEEL) . The Tweel promises performance levels beyond those possible with conventional pneumatic technology.
This Tweel technology is already at a production level for low-speed low-weight vehicles, but very much at the concept level with respect to passenger car use. Tweel is available as an enhancement to the iBOT mobility device invented by Dean Kaman, creator of the Segway, as an alternative to a traditional wheelchair with the ability to climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain.

Michelin showed the first real-world application of the Tweel technology on two Dean Kaman vehicles, the iBOT and the Segway Centaur.

Please note that effective today the LDP highway speed limit will be monitored by the CCTV.
The speed limit is 90 kmh and if you go above that at 91 kmh, the camera will auto record and pass to police. The few identified areas where the CCTV is monitoring are as follows:
1) on the overhead pedestrian bridge in front of Kelana Jaya LRT station, monitoring the straight stretch
2) Somewhere near Western Digital (CCTV might be on Western Digital), monitoring the straight stretch in front of the Kelana Jaya Seafood
3) On IKEA, Monitoring straight stretch in front of IKEA and 1 Utama
4) On the double overhead bridge, monitoring the stretch between the Puchong toll and the Federal Highway turnoff.
5) In the tunnel near SS2 (please note that the speed limit is 60 kmh, not 90 kmh)

Reading news from TheStar said Proton CEO Tan Sri Tengku Mahaleel service will not be renew after his contract ended on end Sept.

Hoping this is the correct move to push Proton towards a major change. After what we learn about the “hustle and bustle” news of AP issue, the almost national car “crisis”, what we as a consumer, would just want a quality national car of our very own. A national car which on par with world standard that we all proud to own it because it is good and not because it is “affordable”.

At the early 80’s, we are proud of having our own national car. But nowsaday, the situation is rather different.
With almost 20 years of time and investing billions of ringgit in building up this national car, till today, we are still not being able to produce a 100% made in Malaysia car. Not even the core of the car which is the engine part.
But look at Hyundai, which started their auto industry at around the same time as we are, and now, they have enter the international auto market and compete with other big brand car manufacturers. And what about our beloved Proton? Still asking mama to feed him milk? (protection from goverment).
Come on, how old are you now? 20++ years old! It should be a mature adult at this age. Shouldn’t you be strong enough to be independent. Improve yourself! Be a national car that we proud to show it to the world.

There is this website www.panducermat.org.my build by JPJ to create public awareness towards the safety on the road. Not only that, they’ve even encourage the public to snap pictures of any traffic offender with your handphone or digi cam and send the pictures to their “Hall of Fame”.
This is indeed a good move for the authority to do something to educate the public.
Apart from this, the question raise is that: how far can it achieve it’s purpose? With the photos being snap here and there, and send and post to the site section, and what’s next?! Been doubting at its effectiveness if this move does not follow with some real action.
The authority must take this seriously and willing to go out full force in order to curb those traffic offenders. Here, not only issuing proper summon or necessary penalties that are required, but also making sure those traffic offender pay their bill on time.
